Chapter 16: The Hunt Begins

Albe and his group move towards Limbra Forest.

“Jack, where was the last time you saw that creature?” (Albe)

“I fought him on the path near Lake Ale, if he’s not going anywhere, maybe he’s still around the lake.” (Jack)

“We’d better split up to find him.” (Jose)

“No, we can not be separated. If the creature kidnaps one of us, then turns into one of us, it can be very dangerous.” (Albe)

“Albe’s right, we have to stay together to find him.” (Mary)

“When we find, move on as planned.” (Albe)

Near Lake Ale, Ren is sitting eating his newly cooked food.

Jack pointed his finger at Ren from a distance.

Then, Albe’s group approached Ren.

“They’re coming.” (Ren)

Ren stood up, then facing towards Albe and his group.

He walked slowly toward them, then transformed into Si Pitung.

“He transformed!” (Mary)

Seeing a man who uses a batik kebaya walking towards them is the Doppelganger they are looking for, Albe gives a command.

“Jose! Quickly install the Barrier, make it as planned!” (Albe)

Albe, Jack, and Raka rush towards Ren.

Meanwhile, Jose and Mary stop on the spot.

Jose prepares the Silent Barrier.

Mary did not fight directly in the Silent Barrier because without Skill, she’s a Magician will not be able to do anything, so she guards Jose outside.

Jose needs a guard because it requires high concentration to maintain the existence of the Silent Barrier, if he is attacked and his concentration is interrupted while activating the Silent Barrier, the Silent Barrier will disappear.

Silent Barrier is a high-level Skill, it takes a strong concentration to maintain the Barrier.

“Silence Barrier is active!” (Jose)

Jose has activated the Silent Barrier, now Ren, Albe, Jack, and Raka, the four of them in Jose’s Silent Barrier.

“Hm, I did not think you did not run away when you saw us, I’m going to avenge Kevin!” (Jack)

Jack swings a big sword at Ren.

“Calm Jack!” (Albe)

Albe yelled to stop Jack, but Jack did not hear him.

Ren holds up his left arm to protect his head, so Jack’s big sword hits Ren’s left arm.
The “Tranggg” sound is the sound of a loud bang between Ren’s left arm and Jack’s sword.

“Wh-what? He’s holding my attacks empty-handed?” (Jack)

Si Pitung’s body is immune to various sharp weapons, Jack’s sword which is a common sword can not hurt the body.

Seeing his sword fail to hurt Ren, Jack jumps back.

“The body of this creature is very strong, we must strike him all the way until his defense is destroyed.” (Albe)

Beyond the Barrier, Jose and Mary look annoyed at the ability Ren has.

“Tch…” (Mary)

“Umm, an attack like this will not hurt me. Please use a better attack, hehe.” (Ren)

Ren taunts the adventurers with his words.

“Yo-you, do not be arrogant just because you can resist my attacks!” (Jack)

“Jack, Raka, we’re attacking him together from three directions.” (Albe)

“Okay.” (Jack)

“Umm.” (Raka)

Albe forward attacked Ren from the front, Jack from the right, Raka from left.
The three of them move simultaneously.

Ren who saw them start attacking, without hesitation running toward Albe.

The spear held by Albe sped toward the heart of Ren.

Seeing the spear that leads to his heart, Ren bends down to keep the spear, then he strikes a blow with his right hand toward Albe’s abdomen.

Albe is reflexively jumping spinning on top of Ren to dodge Ren’s blow.

Albe landed then turned the tip of his spear back, toward Ren then push the spear.

The spear hit Ren’s back, but it could not penetrate his body.

Ren bounced forward for receiving the attack from the spear, and Ren also fell.

Although Ren is immune to Albe’s weapon attack, he still feels the pain of the impact caused by the attack.

Seeing Ren fall, Jack and Raka do not miss the opportunity.

Raka jumped up and pointed the tip of his dagger toward Ren’s head.

Jack also jumped to direct the tip of his sword to Ren’s body.
